As part of the 144th Street Improvements and the West Farm and South Farm Development efforts, roadway improvements will be made on 144th Street, Pacific Street, and the off ramps to West Dodge Road.
144th Street has been widened from a 4-lane divided roadway to a 6-lane divided roadway from FNB Parkway/Eldorado Drive south to Pine Street. The 144th and Dodge interchange off ramps have been widened to add dual right turns, and Pacific Street has been reconstructed to allow for dual left turns into both West and South Farm developments.
Additionally, there will be some miscellaneous median work to allow for new entrances along 144th Street and Pacific Street into West Farm and South Farm and new traffic signals will be installed along the corridor.
Beginning Wednesday, November 20, 2019 continuing through Thursday, November 21 2019, east bound W. Dodge Road at 144th Street will have median lane closure between 8:00 pm-5:00 AM. This lane closure is required for Commonwealth Construction to perform bridge construction work for a new traffic signal truss structure.
All major construction activities have been complete. We are now in the process of replacing the temporary signals with the permanent signals at the intersections of 144th Street and Pine, Dewey, Nathan, and Pacific Street at Applied Boulevard and 153rd Street. The intent will be to complete the permanent signal pole installation during fall 2019. A new signal truss at 144th Street and West Dodge Road will be installed late 2019.
