192nd Street - West Dodge Road to Harney Street (Douglas County Project)

About the Project

The 192nd Street Improvement project will remove the existing two-lane rural roadway section and replace it with a six-lane urban section and a 34-foot median between Harney Street and West Dodge Road. South of Harney Street, the six-lane section will transition to a four-lane section before tying into the existing two-lane, rural section just north of Leavenworth Street. Drop lanes will be utilized at the West Dodge access ramps to tie into the existing four-lane urban section just north of the access ramps. An additional northbound drop lane will be constructed north from the West Dodge Road off-ramp, tying into the existing right turn lane for HWS Cleveland Boulevard.

The roadway will be accompanied by sidewalks on both sides of 192nd Street, with a multi-use trail extending north along the west side of 192nd Street for a future connection to the West Dodge Interchange. A pedestrian crossing will be installed at the new Farnam Street intersection that will provide refuge in the wider median section. Storm sewer, retaining walls, and utilities will be also be constructed during this project to accommodate any future developments or expansion of the corridor.
