Millwork District Improvements
As Northeast Omaha’s Millwork District continues to grow, many infrastructure and development projects are underway or planned. Some are highly visible, others will happen behind-the-scenes, and all projects will strengthen the area’s foundation for future growth.

Northeast Omaha High Rate Treatment Basin
The Basin project is a key part of the City’s plan to capture combined sewer overflows. During storms or other wet weather events, the basin captures and quickly treats sewer overflows before it goes into our environment, protecting public health and safety.

Union Omaha Stadium
Union Omaha Soccer is getting a new home in north downtown Omaha. It will anchor the 2-acre “Stadium District” of retail, dining, housing and green space.

Park Omaha Garage
A City of Omaha parking garage is rising on the southwest corner of 11th Street and Millwork Avenue. The garage will have around 600 parking spaces, freeing up surface parking lots for future development while providing convenient access to the growing business district. The parking garage will be managed by Park Omaha.
Future Road Updates
The City of Omaha is planning road improvements in and around the Millwork District to improve travel for pedestrians, motorists, and freight. Projects are in early planning, with more details available in the transportation section of the City's Capital Improvement Plan.
10th and 11th Streets Connector
To improve connectivity and safety, the City of Omaha is currently designing a new segment of road to connect 10th and 11th Streets from Cuming to Izard Streets. Construction could begin in mid to late 2027.
