2023 and 2024 Bike Lane Improvements

The City of Omaha's Planning and Public Works Departments annually review street resurfacing projects to incorporate "Complete Streets" improvements, such as bike lanes and pedestrian crossings, through efficient striping and signage changes. In 2023, Dodge Street was reconfigured to add bike lanes. For 2024, North 16th Street will have extended bike lanes, and 17th Street will feature a one-way buffered bike lane from Farnam to Jackson Street. These changes aim to calm traffic, enhance safety, and advance the city's bicycle network plans.
