205th Street & Cumberland Drive Traffic Study (OPW 54061)

About the Project

The City of Omaha has completed a Traffic Study that evaluated the intersection of 205th Street and Cumberland. The study was used to determine a preferred alternative for the reconstruction of the intersection. The Small Footprint Roundabout (RAB 1) alternative was selected as it should improve the operation of the intersection, for vehicles going to or from Cumberland Drive on 205th Street, reduce vehicle accidents and accident severity, improve pedestrian safety, and provide better infrastructure for the growing commercial area. With the preferred alternative selected, design has begun on the new roundabout. The design will include intersection, street, sidewalk improvements, and storm sewer improvements along with any associated utility relocations.
