This winter, the City of Omaha is inviting residents to get involved in a unique and fun initiative: naming the city’s snow plow fleet! From November 20th through December 4th, Omaha residents will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite names provided by plow operators from the winning Street Maintenance District in this year’s Snow Plow Rodeo training event.  VOTE HERE

Project Update | April 22, 2024

At this time, it is anticipated the reconstruction activity will occur in two separate segments, the portion west of the 150th Plaza and the portion east of 150th Plaza. Each of these segments will occur in a separate time-frame. Each phase will require full roadway closure of that section of F Street.  

F Street, 156th Street to 144th Street Pavement Improvements & Panel Repair

The existing pavement surface on F Street from 148th Street to 156th Street has deteriorated over the years and has reached the end of its serviceable life. This project will reconstruct the roadway.

  • Underground storm sewer system
  • Sidewalk and ADA curb ramps
  • Individual defective concrete pavement panels will be replaced between 144th Street and 148th Street.

  • Right-of-Way Activities: October 2023-January 2024
  • Construction Preparation: February 2024
  • Construction Begins: April 2024
  • Utility Relocation: Spring 2024
  • Opens: October 2024
