North 24th St Streetscape Improvements

The purpose of this project is to enhance the safety, accessibility, and aesthetics of North 24th Street from Ohio Street to Sahler Street.

  • Design Notice to Proceed: February 2025
  • Preliminary Design Submittal: May 2025
  • Right-of-Way (if necessary): June 2025 – April 2026
  • Final Design Submittal: May 2026
  • Bid for Construction: August 2026
  • Construction Begins: Spring 2027

Status Updates

General Project Management
  • BID to provide street lighting pole evaluation and feedback on May 30, 2025
Design (PE) Status
  • Schemmer to revise the City’s comments of the 10% Plans and Cost Estimates
  • Schemmer submitted the Urban Design Review Board application on May 23, 2025
  • Schemmer is currently performing roadway drainage analysis
Environmental (NEPA) Status
  • Historic structure report submitted to NDOT and City for review
  • Threatened and Endangered species review in progress
Upcoming Milestones
  • City to provide 10% Plans and Cost Estimates to BID after Schemmer revision of City’s Comments
  • Plan-in-Hand (PIH) submittal due May 28, 2025 (revised from May 12th)
  • Post PIH Plan submittal due August 8, 2025 (revised from July 23rd)
  • Public Information Meeting (after PIH) TBD
